Definitely an improvement over that stupid Irish song. Anyone that says that song is fine to play in the stadium is trying too hard to defend all things NU. That song is an embarrassment.

I hope this Irish thing is just because we're playing in the preseason money grab bowl next year and not because we're going to start pretending Nebraska has some rich Irish heritage
Yeah, maybe it's because of the Irish thing, but they played it at the OSU game in 2019 too. Thunderstruck is fine, and it got the crowd juiced up, but it just seems like such a boomer thing. Light show was cool as hell, but at least go early 90s R&B/hip hop if you're going to do a throwback.
Being 40% German...I'm okay with this, but we would need BEER sales at 1 Memorial and the Spirit squad would have to wear authentic German waitress outfits before we could do this

I think that’s the fine line they’re probably trying to walk - the majority of our fans are old as balls so they have to appeal to them while still finding a song that “Gets the people going!”

I know one of the games played at parties uses the "Thunderstruck" song...so that might be the appeal for the younger crowd but what the fuck do I know...
