EJ had a great attitude, always worked hard, and seems like a very good dude. I wish him the best!
I watched his commitment video live and the way his community showed up for him I knew he was a good kid and have been rooting for him since. Unfortunately we won't see him back at Nebraska but hopefully he will end up excelling in what ever he chooses to do.

I’m still waiting for Dowdell to enter the portal.
When you look back at holgs offenses at WVU and Houston he doesn’t use bigger backs.
He had a couple that hit 6’ but they were still pretty slim weight wise. And had good agility and hands. He uses rbs often enough in the pass game where they need that ability.

EJ was probably the better overall fit. Not sure how dowdell truly fits.

Last few games he’s looked better than anyone we’ve had in years. .
It is because he was very good.

So he was averaging 125 yards per game in total offense for the time Dana was here. For context, Kaleb Johnson was the #1 RB in total offense in conference play with 117.6 yards per game.

It isn't just that our RB room has been ass since Ameer. He was legitimately a weapon.

He’s fully admitting year 3 is a reset. That’s ridiculous.
He basically tried to do what he did in Temple and Baylor

All the fans go WTF

It fails (this team vastly underperformed)

Now he has to go an upgrade his coaching

Props to him for realizing it, but this wasn't exactly hard to see coming.

If it’s so easy to find better players in the portal why haven’t we done that yet
It's how people cope with losing one of our few playmaking skill players.

Think if you go back just a few weeks in the Wisconsin game thread and said "hey guys, EJ will enter the portal soon. How do you feel?"

Absolutely no one would have said "no big deal, we'll find a replacement!"
