Eminem surprise appearance at Ed Sheeran concert

I know this happened a few days ago but I can’t get over how cool it is. I’m very jealous of everyone that was there. Awesome performance of Stan too

My cousin and her husband drove up from the Cincy metro area to see the concert and told us about it the next morning at brunch. It certainly was memorable for them.

A few years back, when I still lived in OK, I went to see Willie Nelson (like my 12th time seeing him) in a gymnasium in Enid, OK. He was supposed to be on tour with Merle Haggard, but he had passed away a few days before our show. That night, Willie comes onstage and announces they have a special guest to help them honor Merle, and Chris Stapleton walks on stage. Even though Willie is a shadow of the performer he used to be, it was still a great show in an intimate venue.

When Soundgarden announced they were getting back together their first show in 13 years was the closing set for Lollapalooza. Eddie Vedder is friends with them, and the bands share the same drummer Matt Cameron. Eddie flew out to be a surprise guest. Place would have gone nuts when he walked out on stage. Unfortunately the day before they were to play his boat house at his home in Seattle on the Lake was torched. They think it was arson. So he flew back and didn't perform.

Eminem played Lollapalooza the next year along with other big name bands like Cee Lo Green & Foo Fighters. Wasn't excited to see Eminem but he put on an amazing show. He brought the energy. One of the best shows I've seen and he brought out all kinds of big name surprise guests. All three of those acts put on amazing shows that day, easily rank in my Top 20 shows I've ever seen and I've seen well over 2,000 concerts. Nothing better than a great concert in my book

Matt Cameron is a great drummer.

Matt Cameron is a great drummer.
And Matt is totally chill. Nobody ever recognizes him so you can walk around with him and not be bothered. I did my research before the first time I was with them. Cracked Matt up when I told him that he sang my favorite song ever. He's a drummer so he was confused when I threw that out there and then told him the song. Little known fact, teenage Matt Cameron sang the song Puberty Love for the movie Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. Matt is one of the most professional musicians I've ever been around or worked with. He isn't a partier and takes his trade very seriously. The day before the Soundgarden Lollapalooza show he went to the venue to check out the stage set up and start preparing. He spent 3 hours down there. The rest of the band & their families went with us to a Cubs Baseball Game, including his wife and kids.

Great story! Thank you for sharing.

my favorite rappists were Wu tang. Stopped listening all together in the early 2000s. Did love the first two Eminem albums.
