Is there any reason to actually buy season tickets from the school these days? Has anyone been able to consistently make money selling them on the secondary market? I always sign up for the seat yourself process but never wind up buying them because I can seemingly get them extremely discounted on gameday/day before the game.

$2350 for 1 season ticket in the East Club at 7 home games means you’ve gotta sell each game at $336 per ticket to break even. Seems pretty far fetched you’d be able to get your money back. Then you have to factor in parking and other ancillary costs as well. No idea how they’re getting this many people to pay those prices.

That's why I gave up my tickets. I lose the "guarenteedness" of having them, but you can definitely save money by buying them gameday. You also don't have the obligation of making every game without feeling like you are throwing away a bunch of money if you don't make it. I couldn't give my tickets away the last couple of years....

I don't live close to NE where I can attend games anymore, but when I did live in state, I only wanted to go to a few games per year. It would be the Black Friday game, the good non-conference game, and maybe one other conference game.

The rest of the CFB season I crave my recliner and comforts of home to watch the games. It's not just the expense and having to eat the cost of bad games, the home experience is just so much better these days. My parents gave up their season tix for that reason around 2004.

Growing up in the 80's there were only 3-4 games televised per year and going meant so much more.
