DONU -11.5 vs Northwestern

Womder if the Illinois win is looking better than it is because of Maryland shitting the bed.

My $.02 is that there's basically no mainstream public support for any of Northwestern's games so Vegas has to make these lines appealing to the masses. Joe Average bettor probably thinks NW has the worst talent in P5 (which is not true).

I think if the mainstream public was actually informed about this NW team then the line would be maybe -6 or -7 Nebraska. Starting at -12.5 is dumb.

Even if Nebraska is dominating, there's no evidence (vs P5) that they won't keep fumbling or turning the ball over to keep it close.
Vegas does the math & sets the line cuz the sharks are doing the math & they’d be all over a 6 point edge.

MICH -23 is a very interesting line at MSU. On paper, Michigan is -40 better than MSU.

It is a rivalry game though. Also I'm figuring that UM will get bored of this schedule at some point before their PSU and PSU games and throw out a stinker.

Well if it gets to -13 I expect the sharps to be all over NW.

I also do not expect a large volume of $$ on this meaningless game so not really sure the sportsbooks care too much about it.

Cockwestern allowed 162 yards rushing against Howard, who just lost to Harvard this week 48-7. They allow over 170 rushing yards per game. We should be able to move the ball on the ground all day. But it is Nebraska, so we may lose. I was also guess around 6 or 8, but 13.5 is insane.

Yeah, all I can say is I've followed B1G and Nebraska and Northwestern for long enough that I know what's coming. It'll be like a 28-20 Nebraska win.

I have no real stats to back that up....just after watching those 3 entities for the last 13 seasons, I feel pretty confident in that prediction.

Hopefully we'll sneak in another blowout year.
