They're not nearly as bad as people think though. I will be taking NW to cover. Way too big of a line for this game. Nebraska hasn't proven it on offense vs P5 teams yet.

My $.02 is that there's basically no mainstream public support for any of Northwestern's games so Vegas has to make these lines appealing to the masses. Joe Average bettor probably thinks NW has the worst talent in P5 (which is not true).

I think if the mainstream public was actually informed about this NW team then the line would be maybe -6 or -7 Nebraska. Starting at -12.5 is dumb.

Even if Nebraska is dominating, there's no evidence (vs P5) that they won't keep fumbling or turning the ball over to keep it close.
