My wife’s been looking for a specific Tahoe and they happen to have one there in Lincoln. Was thinking about road tripping it out there

What specifically is she looking for? I'm in the market for a new Tahoe as well and happened to be in Lincoln. If we're looking for the same specific Tahoe, I'm on my way over tomorrow. Tia

Um it’s that’s like grey matte color with blind spot monitoring. Blind spot is really hard to find on these new Tahoes for some reason

Good luck finding a Tahoe right now. They sell as fast as they can make them. And with the chip shortage, the ones coming off the line now are missing some key features. Most dealerships are also selling 3 to 5K over sticker price since supply and demand for them is on the dealers side.
I'd just wait for the 2022's to come out. Will be a refreshed model. A bit longer, more interior room, refreshed interior and tech, just a better rig. I'd also go for the 3.0 ltr turbo diesel - great engine and will get you 23 to 25 mpg on the hwy, and probably 20 to 22 mpg overall. Quiet and quick, tons of torque and the 10 speed tranny Chevy has is smooth as butter. Perfect mating to a torquey engine. Only thing you need to do is put DEF in it, but for 15 bucks for 2 jugs (walmart brand) that should last you about 3000 miles depending on the ambient temp (warmer temps the engine uses more DEF).

Thank you. I don’t know much about Chevys, I’ve always been a Ford guy. We are looking at Navigators as well but I really like the Tahoe’s

My wife has been wanting to get a Tahoe since about March this year. We both have GMC AT4 Sierras with the 3.0 diesel engine (I won't get into how we both have one, but we do, LOL). We got them April of 2020. I mentioned to her then that it might be good if we had one truck (I need mine for work as a contractor) and one Tahoe or similar for times when we need more seating space (we often have a bunch of kids with us). But of course that got taken as me getting the "man vehicle" truck, and her getting a "mom vehicle" SUV.
But less than a year later, she saw that I was correct, then decided she wanted a Tahoe (had to be the 3.0 diesel one). Good thing is - both our trucks are worth about 5K more now than we paid new for them about 15 months ago. Problem is - good luck finding a Tahoe, period, let alone one with the diesel and specs/package she wanted. I searched high and low for one for months within a 500 mile radius, they were all selling before they even got to the lots.
We decided to just wait for the 2022's. Her truck will likely still be worth more than we paid for it new, and will have almost 2 years paid off on the loan. So a good amount of equity to play with. Buying a new vehicle right now is tough with the production and supply shortages - not many vehicles to buy, and they are going for a premium. This is the end of the 2021 model year anyway for the most part, might as well wait for the refreshed 2022's. I think this pretty much goes for all brands of vehicles, too. Ford, Chevy, all of them.

Bought wifey the Subaru that she wanted from Duteau in Lincoln. One of the better buying experiences I have had.(if such a thing is possible when it comes to car purchases) Went there after the Subaru dealer in Bellevue tried to make me pay 6k more for the same vehicle.
