So, is there any LEGITIMATE smoke on who the next coach will be? Pretty blown away by this whole process. They had to be telling the recruits SOMETHING, right? So crazy.

From what’s readily available on that guy, that’s a pretty underwhelming hire.Poster on the scrolls who has really been pushing the Aaron Terry stuff is saying now it’s Corey Brown from Miami(OH)
I guess I lumped the 2026 kid in with the transfers we are "recruiting" to play here.Recruits?
NE business as usual. So, is there any LEGITIMATE smoke on who the next coach will be? Pretty blown away by this whole process. They had to be telling the recruits SOMETHING, right? So crazy.

Not saying you are wrong, but what makes him underwhelming? From what’s readily available on that guy, that’s a pretty underwhelming hire.

Not sure you can consider two stints at Miami Oh sandwiched around jobs at Rutgers, Cornell, and South Dakota to be a steady upward trajectory. Not saying you are wrong, but what makes him underwhelming?
I mean, it certainly isn't as "splashy" as Elijah Robinson, but he seems like a coach how is on a pretty steady upward trajectory - pretty much two years everywhere, then on to bigger and better things.
Also has the IWCC connection. Makes me think that maybe Aaron Terry could still join the staff in some capacity.
Its fucking asinine that it took this long to land at this guy. That should be the focus here. There was no excuse to have a dline THIS bad and not have the replacement list locked at loaded by end of the year. Not sure you can consider two stints at Miami Oh sandwiched around jobs at Rutgers, Cornell, and South Dakota to be a steady upward trajectory.
Right or wrong, I think Rhule is considering himself the de facto DL coach going forward based on his recent comments about being more heavily involved going forward. Its fucking asinine that it took this long to land at this guy. Nebraska was built in the trenches when it was good. Every upstart in cfb history has started in the trenches.
Until Matt Rhule starts behaving as if DL and OL are the most important positions on the field, (instead of just paying lip service to it), we will be stuck in mediocrity with nothing to build on. I could be convinced that Matt is taking OL seriously, his actions speak plenty loud but I don't believe it on DL.
Good point. If you didn't do it with blood streaming down your hand are you really an insider? It doesn’t mean anything if you didn’t pull over on the side of the road to post it.
