DL Coach Hawt Board v2.0

From User @Redblood69 on HOL, FWIW, SIAP:

From what I heard, sounds like Manning will be coaching D-Ends, so the Dline coach will in fact only be coaching the middle of the d-line/d tackles. Might be a turnoff for some. I also know the coaches convention is Sun thru Tues and interviews and conversations will be happening next week. I 100% know 2 names who are going to be talking to Aurich. One would be great, other, im not so sure on. But I assume the net will get much bigger after the convention
No better time to throw the net out than late January!

If this is true, then we’ve officially reached the moment where I’m very confident that Rhule won’t last here.

You cannot be in the middle of the portal window and be relying on networking at a coach’s convention to try to find an assistant coach. Wtf are we doing?
I choose not to believe this today

Is it possible that part of the problem in getting a DL coach is that it isn’t totally appetizing to see an org chart where you have to get feedback from at least Aurich, Phil Snow, and backwards hat Matt, while navigating some sort of domestic partnership with Manning?

Snow should not be involved.

Having 2 coaches as part of the DL is starting to be quite common in college for "recruiting" or rather giving a title type shit for "recruiting".

I think Rhule is not able to attract coaching talent. Seems he has made a bad rep. It is easier to attract others when you are winning and moving up. But now he's failing at 2 stops and it is getting harder to surround himself with good coaches.

I think it is why he went with the budget hire of Aurich instead of someone who would demand a lot more money and autonomy. Nobody wants to be micromanaged. Especially coaches with big egos and big paychecks.

I have nothing against Phil Snow but if he wants to hang around it needs to be in an analyst role only and that should only be the case if Aurich wants him here.
