Divorce Lawyers

December was 36 years for me, and I can say we had to navigate through a couple of rough spots to make that happen. It would have been much easier on several occasions to just split the sheets, but we stubbornly kept working on it.
I know that’s not the answer in all cases, but I’ll look back on the ‘Almost’s’ occasionally and just shake my head at how close I/we were to blowing it all up.
As you mentioned, all the best to the OP. Don’t know his situation and have never walked a mile in his shoes. Hope it all works out for the best.
1st divorces happen, could be a you thing, could be a her thing, could be just things done work out it happens.
2nd divorces, still could be what I said above you the person should be doing some deep self reflection on why it didn’t works.
Brother, if you get a third divorce one of two things is true, you have shitty taste in women, or it’s a you problem

Having watched this play out twice recently, get the best lawyer you can possibly get even if it is amicable. You never know what's going to happen or change during the course of everything that goes into a divorce. Better to be overprepared so you don't walk away holding your butthole. Both divorces started as amicable "lets just do 50/50" or "I don't want to fight or drag this out" to complete money grabs because people get in their ear - lawyers, friends, family. Just my two cents.

I disagree with this to an extent. My parents divorced when I was 10 and it was the single best decision either one of them made. Kids can tell when their parents don't like each other.
Happily married. Lots of friend and family that have divorced through the year

I would agree with your summary. My mom is now twice divorced and onto her third relationship in my almost 33 years. Everyone in my family knows it's a her issue. Her second husband was the total opposite of my dad, and a complete pussy. My dad never re-married. Also a him thing for different reasons.
My brother in law just went thru this. My advice.. file for temporary custody of your kids as soon as possible. If you truly want 50/50 you’ll be the one deciding that and not having to fight for it.
Your dad is wise. Just free plowing without someone telling him what to do and when to do it.

Who knows? I survived addiction and two marriages, and have been a lifelong Husker fan. Maybe I haven’t been punished enough yet!
