Nebraska fans for the most part cannot handle that though. Try and post something true but critical about DONU Football or HCSF on 247 and you’ll get an email from a mod or mike Schaefer.

Its more about the smarmy douche delivery. It's kind of like why I'm universally loved because I'm a cool guy and Jim is a smarmy douche that people hope get eaten by bears

The article didn't really say anything that isn't already known.

Dirk asks "What's the long-term cost of a fourth 20-loss season?" It's fucking Nebraska Basketball Dirk....another losing season whether it's 20 or 30 losses wouldn't fucking matter. NU Basketball has been losing for 100 years. One more losing season isn't going to matter.

Not one of his better efforts IMO.

Now do an article on what the long-term cost for a possible 5th losing season for NU Football will be. I haven't seen any articles about that. I find it very strange the different approaches the local media takes for the 2 major men's sports. I guess if Hoiberg was only getting beat by 7 points instead of 15 all would be well in Lincoln.

It's the same coverage Sip is giving Frost. Shatel and Sam are not much better either. It's frustrating as a fan that you cannot get any real coverage of any programs. Everyone has to play nice in the sandbox when it comes to football.

It feels like the Media is on a Witch Hunt for Fred but turning a Blind Eye to Frost. Both coaches have preformed at record Failure Rates but Fred gets more heat after only 2.5 years compared to 4+ years for Frost from the media plus more protection from Rivals/247. The first true "Shot" Dean or one of his writers take at Frost will be the first.

Robin has even taken shots at Fred but defended Miles til the end. I once posted something on RSS that was from the Kansas Coaches after we played KU in Lincoln and lost on a last second shot. Robin disagreed with the analysis of Tim Miles Coaching and game plan, which was not favorable. Friggin Bill Self and his staff's Breakdown of Nebraska and Robin says he thinks they are wrong. And note I did get in trouble from my KU sources for sharing some of that information. I didn't think the KU coaches would care because our series against them was over and even though I got the info from the coaches before the game I didn't post that info til after the game. And I didn't even share much, just some basics about our offense and how the KU coaches commented about our poorly thought out game plan as they felt so lucky to win. They felt they were going to lose the game due to injuries/suspensions & illnesses and had hoped to at least keep it close.
