According to Rivals he visited Nebraska on 11/16/19 but no offer from Nebraska.

Drew ended up in Lubbock by way of Cockeye Western and Raytown (Mo.) in high school. The stout defender classified as a tweener out of high school, but continued to grow and the production maintained.

At Cockeye Western, the defensive lineman was an NJCAA All-American for his production as a defensive tackle for the Reivers. Following the strong production he ended up with Tech over other schools in Texas like North Texas and SMU.

While with the Red Raiders, Drew put together strong seasons, with 21 tackles as a junior and then 34 as a senior when he broke into the starting lineup. Drew finished with seven hurries as well in 2021.
