Its the "terrible tunnel" on looking south on 84th Street. You can see the I-80 Bridge in the background.

You got it. That is 84th, and the tracks are those between I-80 and F Street

Good guess, but there was a bridge in the background making it the 84th Street tunnel.

I used to live just north of the 120th street tunnel. What a blessing it was when BOTH of those things were removed in favor of the bridges that are in place today.

a friend of mine sideswiped a car in that tunnel when he was 16

Revving a motor w/loud pipes was equally as fun, but yes - horning honking was an absolutely tradition from my youth in that tunnel. Great memories.

Man, the 70s cars after 71-72 were shit boxes a Ford? fake wood paneled station wagon, Pinto station wagon, a Gremlin, a 4 door? early 70s Cutlass and probably some huge 70s boat with a huge cubic inch V8 making about 100 horse power. 🤣

We were the “Seldin model home buying family” for 1964. They had pictures of us up on billboards all over town encouraging people to “Be like the ______. Move to Westwood Heights!”
