We left Laramie yesterday morning and I-80 east was closed so we had to drive down toward Fort Collins to get back to Nebraska.
The wind gusts were insane and I'm glad it eventually calmed down before burning more down. It was amazing that we saw no snow once we crossed the Wyoming/Colorado border.

We got like 1/2 an inch in SWNE after every weather man and the DOT was saying 5-8 inches.

Gotten pounded out in summit county the past week on a lil family ski trip. Looks awful out there in Boulder County, thank goodness they got a reprieve. Had rolling blackouts here 2 nights ago. Excited for the drive back on I-70 today! 🤢

Actually kinda sucks for Boulder county. Large swaths are without power so even if your house didn’t burn down, you can’t stay there right now. But yeah certainly helps end the fires. Brutal week for them.

any breweries burn down thom? Didn’t seem like the fire got to any. my farmer friend said superior liquors made it.
ya, i got a bunch of texts from farmers the other day while I was farmin. Had no idea what was going on. Sad to see and hear, especially happening in winter with no power that sucks.
Insurance and rebuilding should be a pain in the ass. I remember with the 4 mile canyon fire a lot of people’s claim didn’t cover the cost to rebuild so they hooved it out. Wonder if that will happen again.
