College Basketball 2025 Coaching Carousel

Completely agree. Let’s not forget—we’re talking about Nebraska. Would Medved leave CSU for NU? Or DeVries or McCollum? My guess is no.

Nebraska hasn’t yet proven to be a place where a coach can win consistently. I remember when Miles was hired from CSU, and there was so much hype around him for turning that program around. But at the end of the day, NU still struggles to establish itself as a competitive destination.

If you ranked Power 5 coaching jobs, Nebraska would likely be near the bottom, probably last. It’s a tough sell. This isn’t necessarily a defense of Fred, but rather a reality check—many coaches would likely pass on NU and wait for a better opportunity elsewhere.
Yes plus they would push for top NIL which I am not sure NU can afford. Supporting way to many sports for such a small state and our one omega billionaire give $0 to athletics. He’s given millions and billions to Bill Gates and political campaigns though. Ha!

I thought at one time I read that Buffet is a K-State fan, and I don’t recall him donating tons of NIL$$ to them. So either that bit of information is wrong, or the more likely thing is that he doesn’t give a shit about sports.
