Basketball Colin Rice is N

I don’t want to get ahead of myself to next year, but there’s a real good chance him nor Lanier RS, yeah?
The downside of redshirting good players (like Frager) is you’re not likely to have them for all 5 years anyway, so you kind of just waste a year.

I don’t see Frager being here his 5th year, so we definitley just wasted him last year and could have used him big time (they almost pulled his redshirt anyway during our end of year nosedive)

I think Frager is probably more of an outlier because he came a year early.

My understanding is we really wouldn't have had this year's Frager if we'd have tried to play last year's Frager. Sounds like between him reclassifying and simply just needing to develop, it was a good choice.

I do agree that its pretty unlikely to have good players their entire 4 or 5 years tho.

Even though Rhymes redshirted, I think Curtis will be more of the mold for what they try to do going forward. Some minutes their freshman year with it hopefully ratcheting up their sophomore year (or they'll leave if they're not rotation guys in year 2).

But from a player perspective, you want to take the redshirt because a dude like Nick Janowski will probably get a bag or two or three in his career since he's got a full 3 after this

It's his first season of basketball and there's a lot of teams in between St Thomas and the best team in the Big Ten/Universe. He won't finish his career at St Thomas. Beleeee dat
