Here’s some Honorable Mention Fat players from seasons prior:

Marvin Scott
Nadab Joseph
Demairyon Houston
Sevy Morrison
Jackson Hannah
Ronald Thompkins
David Alston
Jamie Nance

I have no idea how we had the recruiting class rankings we did. This just tells me these recruiting services are bogus after the Top 100 in my opinion.

Feel free to discuss and any players or or stats on how much fat was in this Program. All this bad fat was only compounded by the the Chef in the Training Room: War Daddy AKA The Bootleg Hells Angel

One of a few things I like about Rhule, is his transparent and honesty. Also, he’s always in the present and doesn’t look too far ahead or get over his skis.
I believe it was after Illinois game, correct me if I’m wrong. But, he said what I’m sure we’ve all know. He came right out and said “this program is not in a good place.” Not a direct quote as I forgot how he worded it.

It really stood out that not only he said it publicly. But, that he used “is” and not “was”.

I wonder how many Frost players will be on the roster in 2024

We have 26 commits right now, I assume we will take some transfers. Last year we took 28 hs and 12 transfer

we can't take 40 guys this year. We would have to process out people the current staff won't want to process. Taking big freshmen classes on a regular basis isn't mathematically consistent with taking a lot of guys in the portal.

Preliminary 2023 fat trimming short list:

Boerkicher - NILership
Sanford - NILership
Bullock x2 - NILership
Sims - Not the answer
Appleget - Don't see it with Fidone and Nelson coming in
IGC - Time to move on pal
AJ Rollins - If he doesn't POP at DL this spring, freshman look like studs
Snodgrass - Not contributing
Sherman - Not contributing
Kaine Williams -Not contributing
Gage Stenger - NILership?
Bleekrode

I don't remember a statement like that at all, FWIW.

Your list is WAY too short

we probably have 78 guys on scholarship who will have eligibility left after this year (excluding Gilbert).

You take these 12 away we have 66.

That means we can take 19 new guys.

We already have 26 in the class of 2024 with several new 24 offers out. Let's say we take 4 transfers and 3 more freshmen, total 33.

You need to process (or put on NIL for the upcoming 6th year guys or other former walk-ons) 14 more to make the numbers work.

Sherman will be tough - he can' transfer again without sitting out a year, so I doubt he would go. Same with Kaine Williams. Neither can be cut under the new coach rule even if it is before 11/27 because they transferred in. We may be stuck with them.)

Maybe add

Kpai
Buckley
Purdy
Rahmir Johnson (possible NIL)
Hood
Benhart (probably tries for NFL)
Piper (possible NIL)
Scott (probably tries for NFL)
Robinson (probably tries for NFL)
Henrich (possible NIL)
Javin Wright (possible NIL)
Tamon Lynum
Koby Bretz

That's 13. Need 3 from the freshman class, or 3 more from the RFr-Jrs to get to 14 plus 2 for Sherman and Williams

Boerkicher - I'm ok with that, although he's seemed scholly worthy yet too
Sanford - Believe he said regardless he's done after this year
Bullock x2 - Agreed
Sims - Agreed
Appleget - Agreed
IGC - want to agree, but gotta see how these freshmen progress
AJ Rollins - Popped last spring. I'm ok with him staying.
Snodgrass - Agreed
Sherman - Starter, so disagree
Kaine Williams -Agree
Gage Stenger - Or just move on
Bleekrode - Out

There's about to be a ton of hard decisions regardless. There'll be guys that'll have to leave that many of us will be bummed to see go.

Rollins has now been passed up by freshmen

If everyone stays, I'll agree. But if Ty and/or Blaise move on, I'm in the boat he should stay. If that happens, that position group will look a lot like this year's WRs.

Who do you add to my list (which is already too short) in order to keep to keep him?

If he is behind freshman on the depth chart he'll probably go anyway
