CFB Professor projects Nebraska

So basically it seems like he always has us winning two more than we actually do. So adjusted projection is 6-6.
worst case scenario if we win 5-7 games. Either win a bunch so we have some hope for the future or lose enough that Frost is let go. Don't land in the middle on Victories thus dividing our already fragile fanbase even more.

Imagine doing all the work to generate the posterior and then interpreting it like a fucking juggalo.

This is JMO, but an 8 win season this year given the offseason would be a very good accomplishment. You brought in 30 some new players and a new offensive staff. Plus if they win 8+ I think this staff would recruit at an insane level.

I am cautiously optimistic, but the OL and DL still scare the shit out of me, and Frost has always underperformed. Saturday the 27th I will be on a full kool aid trip, but until then I need to see it to believe it.
DL doesn't scare me or worry me too much. Dawson has consistently shown that he is a developer - guys get better every year under his tutelage. And they have some guys there that I think can be real dudes - Robinson in particular. I predict that he takes a huge step forward this year and will be a force.

The OL, on the other hand, scares the shit out of me. Which is weird, considering that 3/5 likely starters were high recruited, high 4-star kids. Austin was just pathetic and I have no confidence in Raiola (he needs to earn my confidence). There is enough talent in that OL room. But do we have someone who can actually do something with it.

Your analysis on the OL is spot on, considering the situation I would have much preferred an experienced OL NCAA coach over a NFL assistant OL coach considering the situation Frost and Co are in. My biggest concern is Ty is the only player on the DL that has played starter snaps and Drew will have missed a good chunk of camp from finishing school is the only other player that has starter snaps. While I think the players are relatively solid on the DL, I am high on Ty as well, the rest of the lineup looks a little on edge in terms of how many good snaps can they give N this year, and if one gets injured then the depth is pretty slim.
