I understand what the business of the sports world is now days, but does this look shitty on Danny for what he said when Kentucky was open? Or just another example of brands and money talks?

Didn’t he say that his wife didn’t want to move from NJ? Tough look. He does have it made in UCONN that would make it tough to switch to UK but pros must be crazy money

It's probably the premier coaching job in all of basketball even though LeBron is old, Street Clothes wears street clothes, and their roster is mostly trash outside of that.

Kentucky is of course a premier college job but I don't know that I'd leave UConn while on a heater like this to just start over in college at a different spot.

But if I was Hurley, I'd sit tight. He will have other chances at NBA jobs and the Lakers situation isn't conducive to being an NBA head coach for a long time as current constructed.

All about to change when they nab Bronny in the draft, though!

I don't know about the wife part but he basically said why would he want to go anywhere else during the KY opening.

As soon as LeBron starts complaining, that seats gets hot. Stay at UCONN Danny. The money is fine I'm sure

Always thought it would be the Nets or Celtics, Lakers makes more sense honestly. Wife and Dan are both high maintenance. Newport Beach suits them well. Kentucky does not

Some are saying he's grown tired of fat, bearded, and slobbery UConn fans treating him like Jesus!

I think he would fit in Celtics Green, but his personality, from what I've seen on TV, would mesh well in LA IMO

LA is a hell of a lot better than Lexington when you have F.U. money. Plus, what else does he have to prove in college? All but one of his starters are gone. If I were a player for him after coming off two championships even I'd understand.

Yeah, he's in the position where he can make a bunch of money, live on the beach and if he fails he'll have a great college job waiting for him.

He's got everything to gain and not much to lose.

To me it's just going back on what he said because of money and status, that I have a hair bit of an issue with. Scummy.

Ya, but it's the Lakers. The most prominent head coaching gig in the NBA. Plus, like the poster said before, college will always be here to make millions upon millions if the NBA doesn't work out anyway.

He's going to be a star in LA. They haven't had a coach with this kind of aura since Phil Jackson or Pete Carroll

Like Entourage cameo type of stuff. He will be in a movie within the next five years if this finalizes.
