If Nash’s assignment was to stand up the center and not penetrate or get up field, he was good. If it was to eat a block for others…good. If not, then he wasn’t good.

Yeah he was stuck to their center like glue

Which was weird to watch because against Minnesota, he and T Rob honestly spent a good amount of time in the backfield. Not sure what happened but it had me confused.

Regardless, back to the topic, I don't know how you can't be excited for this freshman class. They're gonna see alot of PT this year, so they'll get up to speed sooner rather than later. They're very talented also, particularly the DL, WR and DB groups. This year is gonna suck, but the future isn't as doom and gloom as some shticks portray.

Yeah, the future is very bright if they stay around. Totally agree!

Of the 29-odd guys rotating in on D I think only three won't be back next year (Newsome, Omar, Reimer). Ethan Nation should be a plus-add rotating in next year and based on this offseason everyone should take a good jump after a year in the system. Should have at least one All-Big Ten 1st team on defense in '24, probably two.

He def pops athletically with fast Twitch we haven’t had in awhile

You guys really think opponents average 55 yards rushing/game with 0 and 9 being bad at their job?

I found it odd...it was literally just standing up and holding onto their center. Really wasn't even moving his feet.

I haven’t watched the tape at all and I refuse to. But I’d imagine we scheme our pressures different week to week based on matchups.

There seriously were times this week that it looked like a video game because Colorado was so bad at communicating who has what on what protection. When we brought first down pressures it looked like we were just robbing them of 8 yards and a down.
