Huskers last, that’s gotta be good for us
There is apparently a big BBQ scheduled that day for recruits, current players, etc.Its also good he will be here the day the team reports and it’s also fan day. I’m sure Kaelin and crew will be in attendance as well. Let’s finish this one off.

that kid's a fucking flake. do not wantchangted Benning from Cookout to 7/25 - he is not attending the cookout
I am not including unofficials for 2024 committed players or players who are likely 2024 PWO candidates.
Exactly. We should have zero interest in that dudethat kid's a fucking flake. do not want
Although saying Rhule will take him if he wants to come is different than saying we want him. That difference might play into him just going elsewhere. There is not a scenario where we tell Caleb we don’t want him or we are full.
There are several scenarios where our contact with him drops off and he goes somewhere else.
Caleb could ask Matt Rhule for an NLI on signing day and we would send it to him.
See I struggle with that..... I think that is what I would do, but Rhule has invested a ton in on discipline for everybody. If he starts giving somebody special treatment what message would that send? There is not a scenario where we tell Caleb we don’t want him or we are full.

Damon has mentioned that is a big deal with Caleb. He has said multiple schools have offered him and Caleb hasn't tweeted them out because he didn't feel they were genuine.Although saying Rhule will take him if he wants to come is different than saying we want him. with how many other (better) Omaha kids they have committed I don't think it will be that much of an impact. If anything it sends the message that a mid-level DB recruit needs to figure their shit out and commit before they lose their spotNow Damon and Rhule have a relationship.... If he snubbs Caleb, what message does that send to Omaha kids?
Eh, I don't know about that.... I thought last year in the state championship game he looked like a must get for an instate kid.the harsh reality is that if his last name wasn't Benning no one would give a shit where he goes

Obviously I don't know all the communications, but based on what Damon has said, that Rhule wants instate guys, he is going all N on them, but if you don't reciprocate he is fine with going "next."

Regardless, I hope Caleb is N. I think he is one of the best of the instate guys. I know there are concerns about speed with him, but I think he is an instinctual player and there is a difference between playing fast and being fast.
I don't think that's the case. I think he's skeptical of the new staff. His only other experience was Frost. Most everyone thought he was going to turn it around too. I think the delay is waiting to see what happens on the field.Caleb wants to be chased and pampered. If he wanted to be here he would be N already.
I’m guessing the visit two days ago was just him coming with Damon to do the sit down interview with Rhule that Damon did.
Let the kid go play D2 college basketball and move on
