Sign Up Now!Where did he say this? And man, I know some of this is just because of the way Benning posts on the boards, but this recruitment just feels very strange.moved Caleb Benning to 7/28 because his Dad said Caleb isn't going this weekend and they are shooting for last weekend in July now
Got it. I recall that. And there's been no indication they're coming tomorrow? Everything about this feels like one party (or both) isn't particularly hot for the other and that either he'll be left without a spot or go somewhere else. The only thing keeping me from being totally confident about that is Benning keeps talking about what an odd duck his kid is in this regard. On RSS he said if they couldn’t do it this Monday it would be last weekend in July.
Monday is dead period, no coach contact with a HS junior on or off campus
He told Schaefer they were coming tomorrow, but tomorrow is the dead period.Got it. I recall that. And there's been no indication they're coming tomorrow? I really don't know what to make of it. All of the options are odd:He told Schaefer they were coming tomorrow, but tomorrow is the dead period.
I think they did away with that “5 official visits” restriction this year, amigo. What is the NCAA count Limit for Officials?

I’m not 100% sure, but for some reason 63 a recruiting cycle sticks out in my head. I think it’s somewhere around there.OK thanks.
But didn't schools have a limit on OVs they could host?
yes, it didn't change - it is 56 plus you can carry over up to six from the prior year. Virtually no one uses 56, so most schools have the carryover.OK thanks.

Does DB being employed by UNL (Husker Radio Network) change anything with the rules?I really don't know what to make of it. All of the options are odd:
1) They are planning on coming because they don't know there is a dead period. This strikes me as highly implausible, especially because I recall you specifically having this exchange with Benning on HOL. It also doesn't seem like something any of the NU staffers would have failed to recognize or mention.
2) They know it's a dead period, but are planning on coming and doing normal visit things anyway. Considering this is a recruiting violation, it seems extremely odd that they'd do this. It's even more bizarre that they'd be so open about it.
3) They know it's a dead period and are just going to go around Lincoln on their own without any proscribed contact with NU staff. Okay, fine--maybe this is the least strange option. It's still peculiar, though, because why would they even need to do this? I can't imagine how many times both Bennings have been in Lincoln--the football facilities, campus, and the city overall. What could this possibly do in moving the needle?
👀👀👀added 9/29 visit by top 100 player RB Caden Durham Michigan weekend
