I know.

I'm curious if these guys can change companies SO to JR yr or not. I assume these apparel NIL deals are year to year so you could feasibly get dumped. Or you switch from one to the other

No one knows bc they don't have access to these deals. I'm just wondering aloud.
it's probably not a huge issue to switch an NIL deal to a different company, but for Dylan it's a bigger issue because he would be taking a pay cut if he did that

I'm a pretty firm believer that things are never as good as you think, or as bad. The truth is somewhere in the middle.

And I also don't buy the nepotism comments. I don't care who his nephew is. A shit OL with an elite QB will still result in a shit offense. That is obvious to everyone. Regardless of if you believe he merited the role or not, I truly believe he was there because Frost and Rhule believed he could do the job, not because of his family.

I have no idea if your comment about him being the only B1G OL coach to have no draft picks or all-conference players in his tenure. But if that is true, that's pretty damn.

And again, I'm not trying to sound like a Donnie apologist. He wasn't getting the job done. He is gone now and I believe we will be better for it.
You weren't here when Kong made his poo-flinging, potato-riddled entrance, but any thoughtful response will be absolutely lost on him.

I'm really ok with moving on from Donnie - probably the right move.

But I don't think it was as obvious as everyone likes to pretend. I think he was really good on the run game and excellent with the IOL. But the OT play was definitely poor in his tenure.

Personally, I was hoping that Satterfield was the one who was going to be moving on and then we could bring Ferentz in to coach the TEs and OTs. But, like I said, I am very ok with moving on and hiring a stud in his place.
I hear that statement about Donnie with the IOL and run game; but when I watch the line play carefully against good competition, I don't see that. Mostly it seems as though our guys are seldom getting good blocks on 1st level and virtually never getting to the 2nd level against = or > talented teams. This is one of my markers on what I want from OLs.

I'm not trying to defend Raiola too much - I firmly believe that overall he was failing. However, I HATE the ideology that the only reason why he was here was because of Dylan. There's just no way that we are that dumb...

I don't think that Rhule actually was. Keep in mind that Raiola had only been here a year when Rhule arrived, and Rhule honestly felt that the way the position group responded to Donnie, and the concepts Donnie possessed were worth trying. The guy he had actually wanted wasn't coming, and so this seemed like a safe choice. The OL actually did progress in Rhule's first year, though that consisted also of Rhule and Satterfield spending a lot of time around the OL, and Mr. Williams digging in. 2024 was sort of a push, but the recruiting was showing some very good signs for OL talent (we have a very good room). By the 4th game of this year it was obvious that the vast talent was being wasted on either poor blocking schemes or execution.
