14 points from a Hail Mary and essentially a garbage time TD. I get what your saying but the offense was supposed to take a step forward, while most people thought the defense might take a step back. I dont see a much improved offense
I feel like Rhule keeps bringing in coaches who are willing to accept his assistants who aren’t the best. You have to think Dana is not liking some of his assistants however I think he is only here as long as DR is.The butler hire just seemed boring and lazy.

Butler is willing to accept keeping assistants who aren’t the best but are Rhule picks.
But maybe we don’t have the money or cache to bring in top notch assistants who would bring their staffs with them. Who tf knows.
LB coach doesn’t seem to be able to pull any cruits on his own, very young, still cutting his teeth in both coaching and recruiting. Braden I have no clue but no high school recruiting ties so starting at ground zero. DB coach may be good but came from UCF so not sure he’s top tier. That doesn’t seem to be anywhere near comparable to our peer programs. I guess we’re a coaching development program too vs executing. What assistants "aren't the best"? I'm sure on offense, you'll say Barthel and Raiola. I don't know enough to know whether or not that is the case.
On defense, who's "not the best"? Dvorkchek and Williams are both very highly regarded. Bradden is brand new and is well thought of as well.
We had a total of 59 TE pass catches last year. Through 4 games, we are already at 21 this year. If that pace continues, we will out pace last year by 20+ more catches by TE's this year. I think the TE game is excellent so far, and that's with losing a NFL roster TE and another lost to injury for a large chunk of the off-season. I would put our TE room/coaching up against anyone in the Big 10 this year.LB coach doesn’t seem to be able to pull any cruits on his own, very young, still cutting his teeth in both coaching and recruiting. Offense idk our OL looks poor, we might have some young cruits in year three. Not sure on coaching.
TE coach and RB coach are below average imo again compared to our peer programs. Maybe we will buck the trend with our staff vs executing staffs that aren’t building recruiting connections and developing as coaches.
TE coach is doing pretty well. The top two TEs are performing very well compared to the rest of the P4, and one of those guys has been playing TE less than a year.TE coach and RB coach are below average imo again compared to our peer programs.
I’ve been on the 9-3 🚂 since the beginning of the season. We need to win all the games we should, while also putting up very competitive efforts in the others. These others would be MI, USC, PSU; no worse than 6-2 but could also go 7-1 heading into USC.Plenty of items have been pointed out already. Some positional groups need work, obviously.
We are better overall than we have been.
We continued to find ways to stay in the game. DR was pretty freaking good. We had good moments.
8-4 to 9-3 is realistic.
Just not going to overreact to that game. Going into a bye week, clean some things up and get it going again.
The mind still wobbles at the idea that not that long ago we were rolling Heinrich out there as a starting QB.TE coach is doing pretty well. The top two TEs are performing very well compared to the rest of the P4, and one of those guys has been playing TE less than a year.

Get to 9-3 on the regular season, get to a good/great bowl, win that game, go hog wild in the portal; and let’s go out and win 10+ in season next year.
I understood about 0.003708% of what you said there 😅Maybe try not to run a scheme that isn't you, you're not TW. Maybe don't try and be like an NFL Team and run double mug with freak beasts at DL across the board when you're a fucking college team. Maybe, when an uptempo team checks when you're in double mug and clearly showing your intentions of blitz vs drop, you check as well so you don't get deep dicked by a simple fucking play. Maybe, have a fucking peel player when you're in 0 blitz. Maybe, stop slanting when you're just getting deep dicked by almost every zone scheme you see.
Was any long run not a zone scheme or Q draw?
If we go 9-3 I will be happy with what happened Sat
Same. I was at 8-4, but same general idea on the season.I’ve been on the 9-3 🚂 since the beginning of the season. I was pretty intoxicated, pissed, and overreacting word vomiting then. I'm better now...I understood about 0.003708% of what you said there 😅
