It's a bad recruiting loss, but Campbell has also been building that relationship for a helluva lot longer than a weekend. Campbell's reputation at developing guys is pretty strong.

Long term I agree and I still think he was the right hire. CU had nothing to lose. I've stated before that if it goes south it could go south quickly but living in Colorado and every time you turn on the news/radio they're talking about another big-time recruit interested in CU it sucks. It is what it is.

I know that at one time there was a narrative that Beckton was a good coach and that he should have been a candidate to be retained on the new staff. Can we get rid of that narrative as it looks like the TE room is in shambles after Vokolek and Brewington graduate? Our TE room looks like a wasteland of injury prone and non developing players.

We'll see how that works out. Prime is selling them on a process of "you get yours". When/If they get to CU and discover that isn't the case and they've been sold a bill of goods, we'll see what happens. Building a roster full of me-first players isn't a good long term play.
