Bowl Games Thread 2025

Dude… Bro… Cockeye’s individual record in bowl games (top SEC teams) really doesn’t represent how they would fair in a full conference schedule. Not one bit.
Over the last four years…
Tennessee is 1-3 against the B1G.
Alabama is 2-2 against the B1G.
South Carolina is 0-1 against the B1G.
Texas aTm is 0-1 against the B1G.
Texas is 1-4 against the B1G. (1-5 if they lose to Michigan)

I always thought "root for conference guy" was just an SEC T-shirt fan thing.
Outside of NU, my favorite team is whoever is playing one of our conference foes. Why would I ever root for a B10 team? It's not like SoS benefits us in anyway. Their success does not trickle down and make us somehow better.

Be mostly gone. Nebraska has played like crap all year against q4 teams but turned it one in the 2nd half. I think we only have q1 and q2 teams left on schedule
I just think Vandy had a favorable schedule. Cockeye is/was playing well after they figured out their qb can't throw and used him more in the running game.
You don't get sick of the "SEC is just better" or "it just means more" crap?
I do. Especially since the B1G has been the superior conference the last couple years.

Edit: I stand corrected, Oregon has improved to a Q3. Plus at Rutgers is a legit Q4 if it wasn't on the road.

I think overall stronger conference helps with recruiting/portal. As you said though I'm not sure how much that helps us as a middling B1G team. We can get better in comparison to non P2 teams and get worse in comparison to B1G teams.
I'm still hoping they both lose
