The No. 18 Nebraska softball team stifled a Washington Huskies comeback threat and grabbed a 12-8 victory on Friday night in Seattle, Wash.

The Huskers posted six extra-base hits on the day, including five home runs. NU now has 178 extra-base hits on the season, which is a program record.

Jordyn Bahl was 2-for-3 on the night with a home run and three RBIs. She now has 51 RBIs on the season and is the first player to notch 50 or more hits, runs and RBIs in the same season since Billie Andrews in 2022. Bahl's home run put her at 15 home runs and 15 doubles on the season. She is the first player in program history to accomplish that feat.

Bahl (19-5) also tossed 5.1 innings and claimed the win for the Big Red. She allowed five earned runs and struck out 12 batters. She has posted 207 strikeouts in 2025, which is a career-high season total. Hannah Camenzind tossed the final 1.2 innings and allowed three earned runs.

Ava Kuszak knocked two home runs for her third multi-homer game of the season. She also added five RBIs. H.Camenzind, Lauren Camenzind and Bella Bacon each added two hits and Bacon and H. Camenzind each contributed a solo home run.

Bacon kicked off the scoring for NU in the top of the third with a solo home run. L. Camenzind logged a double and scored on a Bahl two-run homer that made the score 3-0.

In the top of the fourth, H. Camenzind knocked a leadoff home run to extend the score to 4-0. Olivia DiNardo singled and Kennadi Williams pinch ran for her. Bredwell reached on an error following a sacrifice bunt and Williams went to second before Bacon walked to load the bases. L. Camenzind singled to score Bredwell and Williams. Bahl lined a sacrifice fly to left field that sent Bacon across the plate and Kuszak hit the Huskers’ fourth home run of the day to score herself and L. Camenzind. NU led 9-0 going into the fifth.

Washington hit a two-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the fifth to extend the game.

Bacon singled and went to second on a wild pitch in the top of the sixth. Samantha Bland reached first on an error that also sent Bacon to third. Kuszak hit her second homer of the day to make the Husker lead 12-2.

The Huskies scored three more runs in the bottom of the sixth to make the score 12-5. UW then pulled within four after a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh, but it wasn’t enough and the Big Red locked up the 12-8 victory.

NU will take on the Huskies again tomorrow, April 26, starting at 5 p.m. (CT). The game will be streamed on the Big Ten Network and can be heard across the Huskers Radio Network.
