I don’t understand how you make that call on Fidone with the pass being so close to the line of scrimmage.

My theory is they meant to say 4 and not 24. Banks was run blocking on that play.

Is there a stat out there that keeps track of negated touchdowns/chunk plays negated by penalties? Even if they don’t completely screw is with the number of penalties called, they absolutely have it out for us when we make a big play.

I could see selective penalties being an issue. Not sure how many 3rd downs get called back for penalties but it feels far over the mean.

I am generally of the opinion that B1G officials aren't biased against us specifically and more just generally incompetent.

But the no holding penalty for 3 straight years gives me second thoughts. That is absolutely insane, and frankly not possible, regardless of how trash we were during those years

Exactly. This is where the wool over the eyes comes into play. Just looking at penalty yardage is futile. The timing and impact of four penalties on your team can mean a whole lot more than 8 PI calls on passes that would have been completed if the DB didn't interfere. And lets not forget things like targeting and spotting the ball that don't show up on penalty stat lines. No calls are even bigger than the calls they get wrong.
