Who’s got the goods?

Nebraska creating a stir

Matt Rhule and the Huskers have two commits early in the 2027 cycle, both blue-chip targets that chose to play in Lincoln over national offer lists.

Rivals’ No. 2 safety Tory Pittman gave his pledge to Nebraska over the weekend as the Omaha (Neb.) Central standout chose the Huskers over LSU, Oregon, Michigan, Notre Dame and USC.

The nation’s No. 16 prospect regardless of position, Pittman joins touted quarterback Trae Taylor in the fold. Taylor is the nation’s No. 86 overall prospect and he elected to play for Nebraska over LSU, Texas A&M and Illinois.

And the vibe around Nebraska is that they’re just getting started.

The Huskers are at the forefront of the recruitments for several more ballyhooed rising juniors. They’re in the lead group for the nation’s No. 1 tight end Ahmad Hudson, top-ranked offensive tackle Kennedy Brown, the No. 2 defensive lineman Albert Simien and No. 4 ranked cornerback Juju Johnson.

Beyond those three elite prospects, four-stars in running back Isaiah Rogers, tight end Cooper Terwilliger, receiver Tay Ellis and safety Robert Geathers are a few other top-of-the-board names Nebraska is building momentum with.

The Huskers are also picking up steam with KJ Green, the nation’s No. 10 edge rusher.

The states of Texas and Louisiana are going to be big points of emphasis for the Huskers in 2027 and the Michigan game on Sept. 20 in Lincoln setting up to be a monster recruiting weekend.
