New Commit Arnold Barnes is N

That's what I was thinking. IIRC we got his commitment initially because of mickey until Frost axed it. Not like we were having a hard time getting talented guys from the southeast.
brian regan what GIF
From what I was able to put together from the different boards he was Mickey's guy, but Dawson wanted Lenhardt, and they told Noonan they were only taking two, so Williams was out. I also read somewhere that Mickey is friends with Williams's trainer so if true there might be a chance to get him back if Mickey is retained in some way.

I think Turd knows who it is and Mickey will be part of his staff. I could see Mickey getting a nice pay raise out of the deal. Hate to lose a good recruiter who truly cares about Nebraska. Here's to hoping we keep Mickey & Busch on the new staff, and Applewhite.
Other than coed butt grabbing, what’s not to like about Urban Meyer?

Edit: and I’m not sure I mind coed butt grabbing.

What does this kid know that we don’t? Watching this team would not inspire me to commit until you know who the coach would be.

Something that someone on RSS would say....

"Maybe they told him who would be the new coach" - RSS poster that doesn't also post on TPB

Yeah sounds like what I had heard. Dawson and frost turned him down for Lenhardt...who promptly de-committed when frost was fired. Mickey would be smart to double back and tell him no worries Dawson won't be back anyways.

Barnes isn't what I'd call a questionable offer.
Just checking .... two power 5 offers from Nebraska and Cockeye.

Those are followed up by ..... Tulane, Charlotte and Idaho. Its definitely a questionable offer. But Nebraskas depth at RB is also questionable so checks out.

I know nothing about him so this seems either right or wrong depending on if he sucks or is awesome

I’m basing this 100% off of offers.
I’m not taking time to watch film, but he fits the mold perfectly for every “late bloomer” Nebraskas hit the past 15 years.
Out of state with no instate or regional competition for him - check
Hardly any power 5 school offers/no power 5 offers from teams having a great season- check
Hard working kid - check

It’s amazing how Nebraska always gets dp lucky and gets all these amazing players with no competition for them. Nebraskas always playing chess.

I’m kinda believing that Mickey is telling them he’s going to be there regardless and he’s probably promising a good head coach.

Honestly, what Mickey’s doing on the trail under these circumstances is pretty fuckin impressive.
Handing out offers like candy, getting a local commit that every other school bailed on and getting a commit from a 3* pork chop?

He’s a good recruiter but not much to impress yet under these circumstances ( and I wouldn’t expect it). Not dogging Mickey but I don’t get your statement

Which recruits were you expecting to leave once Frost was fired?

Historically, what recruits commit to a school that is head coach-less?

Does it matter if they’re “Meh”? Or do you just love seeing “croot” screamed on the mountain tops?

Sustaining current class is fairly impressive but still time for a change there and you also have to wonder how good they actually are? Don’t forget, we’ve blown at recruiting for quite some time.

So we’ve established that keeping the current is impressive.

What recruits commit to a head coach-less program historically and what is their average ranking?

I could be a recruit. I’d commit to Mickey/Nebraska. A team full of me wouldn’t get past the tunnel walk.

Edit: Mickey is good at what he does. Just telling you nothing special has happened.

What level of recruit generally commits to a head coach-less program?
