I say that before every game, just like I say we will win 11 games every year
Also, they do have more talent. Has anyone ever said otherwise?
We had year 3 Matt Rhule players on the DLine and at tackle last year. They definitely have more talent I realize that.
You’d just think in Year 3 you’d have an OLine not getting completely outmanned even against a team with said talent and a DLine that’s not all undersized when the system you want to run literally needs bigger dudes.
I guarantee we’re spending all the way up to the rev share cap, so I’m not sure what the operating budget has to do with it. We don’t have an NIL budget like Biff's Butthole Surfers does, but very few teams do.To exacerbate things, we can’t afford top tier DL, OL, and Rbs but have one of the most expensive operating budgets in college. And more staff positions than ever before to produce slightly above average results. Confusing to say the least.
This is a college football message board. Literally nothing said here has any value whatsoever. So you admit your posts are without value. Good on you.
No argument on lack of NIL funds. A simple search says 34% (76mil) of our fiscal budget came from donors. Which means they help fund the operating costs for an overinflated staff that could be allocated to buying the players we need. I think there is a large set of Nebraska donors that basically had no interest in contributing to NIL. It’s weird, but that’s what I’ve heard from certain people connected in NIL.No argument on lack of NIL funds. A simple search says 34% (76mil) of our fiscal budget came from donors. How could it go to players? I'm sure we are at the rev share cap. Or you saying those donors would agree to fund NIL INSTEAD of donating? That I doubt. No argument on lack of NIL funds. Wishful thinking on my part. I’m sure they want no part of the NIL.How could it go to players? I'm sure we are at the rev share cap. Or you saying those donors would agree to fund NIL INSTEAD of donating? That I doubt.
We’re overreacting to one game. Not going to see teams with Michigans run game/ D edge pressure again until PSU. This team still has a lot to play for this season.
Calling a season over after a 3-1 start is ridiculous. Did a lot of you forget what the product looked like under Riley and Frost?
Dylan Raiola seems to be worth about 3 extra wins on his own this season.
Spent over half the game on his ass and still completed 73% for 310 yards and 3 TDs.
Long story short… REEEEEEELLLLAAAXXXXXX

The top 15-20 have pretty good budgets. Then you have chit programs like Texas Tech who are paying out the a$$ as well.I guarantee we’re spending all the way up to the rev share cap, so I’m not sure what the operating budget has to do with it. We don’t have an NIL budget like Biff's Butthole Surfers does, but very few teams do.
If they want to compete at the highest levels then they need to do what it takes. They may need a reality check as far as what schools likes Georgia are doing compared to us. They have more money in NIL AND they are paying their high school commits who are still playing high school football! How could it go to players? I'm sure we are at the rev share cap. Or you saying those donors would agree to fund NIL INSTEAD of donating? That I doubt.
Any chance we had at competing in NIL is just down the drain. There’s no way our boosters will be cool with cutting checks directly to kids still in HS.The top 15-20 have pretty good budgets. Then you have chit programs like Texas Tech who are paying out the a$$ as well.
a lot of donors prefer to have their name attached in some way to physical plant, etc. Nobody remembers who paid Joe Blow's NIL 20 years ago when you're dead.I hadn’t heard that we have donors that “don’t believe in NIL.” That’s some serious Luddite shit there.
Mich is absolutely tier 2 until proven otherwise. They got handled by Oklahoma. They're just not on the level of Ohio St, Oregon, Penn St at this point and their ranking and record reflects that.Biff's Butthole Surfers is tier 2 now?
And you thought we’d be equal talent wise to Biff's Butthole Surfers, a team that won a natty 2 years ago?
That is the program with a lot of these southern programs. New rules set to even it out they just push it to the next level to keep the playing field as uneven in their favor as possible. It never ends.Any chance we had at competing in NIL is just down the drain. There’s no way our boosters will be cool with cutting checks directly to kids still in HS.
