How does a publicly traded company get alignment to do this? If they want to give back to Memphis, they could donate $5m per year to local charities or set up a massive scholarship fund.
Lighting cash on fire through NIL donations is the type of thing you’d expect to see from individuals with wealth, not massive companies with shareholders who actually want a return on their investment.
