April Recruiting Thread

Not sure how many years of Rhule's recruiting until some of you guys get it. Don't get caught up in position. He is recruiting the best athletes in the country and will find a spot for them on the field. There will be plenty of room for some of the highly rated WR recruits.
He also seems to have ZERO problem recruiting over players

Omaha Westside linebacker Christian Jones took in Nebraska's scrimmage on Saturday and the Top247 four-star recruit said things felt just a little bit different compared to other practices he's been to in the past.

"I would say there's a new sense of urgency and maybe it's because I was at a scrimmage but there's a little more tempo and urgency," he said. "I definitely felt better culture there. The quarterbacks were also battling it out. That's good to see. Overall I just think everyone is just better."

Jones, who is being recruited by a number of schools, is one of the top targets on Nebraska's board and talks regularly with the staff including head coach Matt Rhule, defensive coordinator Tony White, linebackers coach Rob Dvoracek and others.

"I'd say it's more relationship building because they don't have to sell what they have because I've already been told it a million times of what they've got," he said. "I'd say it's more about relationship building."

Dvoracek, who could be Jones future position coach, has struck a good relationship with the linebacker and the two have quickly bonded.

"Coach Dvoracek is very personable, young, energetic," Jones said. "I only have good things to say about him. I think overall he's a good guy. I watched him coach in person last Saturday and he seems like a good teacher in engaging his students. I've just got a good relationship with him. He's a good guy."

The linebacker isn't sure if he'll make another visit to Nebraska before the spring season ends with the Red-White game next weekend, but he also isn't ruling it out.

One thing Jones is sure of is an official visit to Lincoln, but a date hasn't been finalized, though he's working with Nebraska's staff on lining it up.

Jones is planning on taking official visits to Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas A&M and USC.

The linebacker is the No. 192 player in the 247Sports rankings and the No. 1 player in Nebraska for the 2024 cycle.
