Breaking Apology thread

4th and inches I'm running it every time. 2nd and 3rd down are good times for the throw to the gigantically tall tight end though. 2nd to last series it worked good.

4th and inches and you're going to run it every time using the same formation and players that they use literally on every other position on the field and it rarely yields more than a yard or two, and quite often results in being stopped behind the line of scrimmage. So you're going to use that same play at the goal line of all places?

You know your OL is a liability, it's been proven all season.

I don't quite understand you Jim.

I didn't hate Beck. He did tend to get too cute in the red zone though. Taylor was a pussy though so took qb run out of the equation. That's probably been our best play as someone said running 2AM inside the 10. Imo he scored on 3rd down. Replay sucked though so don't blame them for not calling it a TD.
I didn’t mind Beck but that was the one thing most people bitched about. He could call a much better game than Frost and co, not that it’s saying much.

Lol. Maybe not every time. Here's that series.

Now replace 2nd down with something other than get Rahmir Johnson hurt play and ideally 4th down is a qb sneak. We know the excuse of why that didn't happen but not sure the difference between running him on 3rd down and qb sneak on 4th is any different.

Beck was awesome in a lot of areas, especially scripting plays to start a game.

He had a knack for being money the first 3 possessions , but would fall flat and never adjust once the defense did.

UCLA, and Oklahoma CCG games for example. Built big leads right out of the gate in both, then struggled to move the ball and score points thereafter. Of course it never helped his defensive counterpart had a knack for doing exactly the same.

Got to the point if we didn't score the first two series you knew we were going to lose by a lot.

I've never coordinated the 111th red zone scoring offense in college football, so beats me
That's a little bit deceiving. The missed FG's is what brings us down so low. TD % (before last week) was upper half. Don't remember the number exactly. We were also like 3rd in getting into the red zone (with one more game than most).

All that said and we're still not very high in scoring offense 50's?

Oh what couldve been if Lamar Jackson ended up in Lincoln, or even if the retards would've just given the Burrrow family the time of day. LJ would've been electric in that offense.

Burrow was athletic enough to operate that RPO with enough QB run threat but not necessarily the homerun threat. He wouldn't have missed nearly as many wide open Kenny Bells, Quincy Enunwas, etc as TM and TA did though.

The UCLA game was a choke job. The OU game was due to Martinez not being any good because his toe was fucked up. Burkhead running wildcat was our best offense. It still makes me cringe thinking about Martinez rolling right and throwing across the middle only to be picked off in the endzone which was the start of the end.

On the other hand, we wouldn't we have so many missed field goals if we could utilize 6'8" tight ends in the passing game while inside the 10 yard line.

Still doesn't solve the missed XP problem so I got nothing other than fire frost
