Told her like 2 or 3 months in that she needed to be in the bassinet at the bare minimum or we would be toast trying to get her to sleep in a crib. Her response was "when she can roll over by herself". Yeah that was accomplished a good 2 months ago. She gave me a golden one the other week for needing to help my dad with some farm work on a Sunday....."I'm just tired of feeling bad for asking you to be a dad" ooooooooooookay then, that's garbage

That is some manipulative shit to say man. Fuck that.

So this isn't really a horror story but the wife is at home right now. Slow leak that showed up in the living room ceiling a couple days ago. Plumber came this morning. Family friend. There is now a hole in the living room ceiling and has been traced to the guest bathroom toilet, which has a slow leak in it that has now turned into quite the solid mess. Apparently there's a little mold in the ceiling that has been cut out......we're supposed to host Thanksgiving for her side of the family and my dad tomorrow lol perfect. Can't wait to go home for lunch and see this scene!

We are currently going on month 6 of renovations from a water leak that started from a cracked line to our guest room toilet. It wrecked that bathroom, our master bath, our 1/2 bath directly under it on the first floor, and our living room which is also below it. It was about $71K of damage. We should be done with everything in about 3 weeks. It’s been crazy the amount of little things a small of water was able to damage in such a small time.

Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood damn you fixing it on your own or you hire someone?

My gf's sister still sleeps with her mom. She's 14.
Damn....look I don't judge others' parenting but I'm just saying Ima do everything in my power to not let that happen. Little old imo.

She certainly has a way with words. I don't have a filter when I'm genuinely pissed but my natural reaction is to basically shut down ad stop talking to whoever that person is for a while, so that's what I did. Hours to be exact. Probably for the best.

Contractor for sure. The biggest hurdles were insurance, finding a contractor, and then getting the supplies needed. It would not have taken that long in a precovid situation but we have had things that were ordered the first week of June that we just got on Monday and then can’t be installed for two weeks because the sub contractor is booked out. We just keep telling ourselves everything is going to be ten times better than it was before and is something we would have probably never done ourselves had it not happened. So it’s a set back for big positive.

Right, that makes sense. I had a backyard fence installed over the summer time. Went with a local company because the major ones in the area were basically all booked up until like spring time 2022 or even summer 2022. It turned out okay. Gets the job done.

If this wasn't in the living room that's the route I was gonna take. My wife is very much a clean freak so that wasn't gonna fly.
It only leaks when he takes a shower in there. There's 3 other showers so not a big deal.

She's been breaking the ice and using the bassinet a little more here lately but yes lol that's what I'm saying. I've argued it a few times but haven't won yet.
I would be mostly scared of her smothering the child with the sleeping on the chest part in the recliner or whatever.
