Any word on transfers?

No kidding? That's a pretty cool honor.
As God is my witness ...

What does one do to get that honor?
The guy in the lower right hand corner (Chet Estes) was a student in a sales training class I was teaching in the Atlanta area (as you can see, it reads "Peachtree City, GA", which is where I lived at the time). Chet - despite managing one of our facilities in KY - was really struggling in the class, which candidly was pretty difficult and deliberately designed to break old behaviors and instill new, more productive ones.

I pulled him aside near the end of the class and before his big mock presentation and kind of helped him understand that we'd simply added new skills to the ones he already had to make him MORE effective at doing what he was already very good at. It turned out to be the right words at the right time for him, as he was pretty much falling apart due to the stress of the presentation he was preparing. Bottom line, he did just fine but apparently he felt like I'd done him some huge favor getting him through the class.

Unbeknownst to me, Chet was also an assistant Secretary of State. So a week or so after that class, I get a call from the front desk at the conference center we did our training at that I had a package waiting for me there. I slide by and that "proclamation" was in the package, and lo and behold I'm a Kentucky Colonel. Which means they hit me up to financially support their organization and the charities they subsequently support. They also have their own room at Churchill Downs for the Kentucky Derby, which is a very cool sporting event to check off of your bucket list if you haven't been.

And then slide by the infield to see nekkid women and suck down a "mint julip" or two (KY bourbon mixed with sugar & ice, topped with a mint leaf). They go down smooth, and make the fancy women throw their derby hats on the floor when they pull their dresses off over their heads. 😎

It was already on my bucket list. Going to start actively planning after that description.

That's a pretty cool story on the Colonel thing.

Accurate description of the infield... at least it was last time I was there.

Saw my first set of real-life titties in the infield when I was like 12-13. A twenty something was running across the tops of the porta-potty’s in a total downpour. She was a tPB 6 but a beergoggle 11 with a great rack.

Out of nowhere a bottle cracks her in the dome and she drops into the mud only to be arrested by the LMPD.

Luckily she was only minorly injured. I was bewildered with the biggest hard-on I’ve ever had. Will always love the Derby.

I can't decide wether your first pic or write up make it seem classier. @Alcaus' description doesn't do much to class it up unless one of you were wearing a fedora and tweed blazer.

I can see where your confusion would come from, but let me elaborate a bit: The 1st pic was taken from the infield and directed back towards the skyboxes in the 1st turn. The skyboxes were pretty cool: two levels of tiered stadium seating and a top level under the canopy. All three levels had white-gloved wait staff delivering mint juleps as fast as the bartender could make them. (see below for a pic from the inside of our skybox:

Also, from a fashion perspective a tweed blazer would be in poor taste at the Derby. Consider a "seersucker" suit instead so even if you ARE a newbie, you'll blend in with the "Landed Gentry" crowd (where the $$$ and the beyond tipsy fancy women with the hats that will wind up on the floor hang out). You can always slide by the infield (it's a tunnel under the track to get there) to see the debauchery in person (worth the drive-by, IMO).

I think we add:

Go on ...
Savea
Ho’ohuli
Sotelo

I’m 50/50 on Dickerson. It wouldn’t surprise me if he reaffirmed and it wouldn’t surprise me if he flipped. That one, your guess is just as good as mine.

I think we add Bratton as well. The next week on that front will be interesting as he goes home to speak with his family. If he’s going to transfer and be here, he’s gonna have to do it now, or wait till after spring ball.

Boe Wilson in the transfer portal isn't much of a surprise considering we added two transfer guards last season. I don't really have an issue with a guy like Boe, who put in his time, to transfer someplace where he can play.
Yep. I wish him well, though I hate to lose depth on any line. Glad he was a Husker.
