Talked to a friend of mine last night that has a kid on the team. Really not much to share in regards to the team. It was a concert and loud so wasn't an in depth convo. Not a lot of hard workers on the team. Particularly Martinez. Does what he has to and doesn't put in much extra. Rarely watches film, etc. Think that's been shared before.

Main thing was he worked with and is friends with Turd. He talked to him last week and said Frost is getting another year. I said not if he goes 4-8. He insisted he'd get another year even then. Would have to be something major for him to get fired this year. Record won't matter.

I really hope your friend is wrong. Letting him have that extra lame-duck year could set this program back years and would for sure kill the 2023 and 2024 classes.

I'm not surprised at the "another year for Frost" thing. Those are the vibes I'm getting (no insider info) is that Frost is back for 2022 unless he steps away himself.

My question is on the Adrian thing. I hadn't heard that he didn't watch film and wasn't a hard worker. Is that common knowledge? I mean we knew 2019 prep for Adrian was terrible (overweight, lack of focus) but that was more chalked up to a kid believing his own hype, etc. I didn't know Martinez was walking around with a rep of being a lazy worker and not a film watcher.

If that's true that makes it even worse that Frost continues to hitch his wagon to AM. Your starting QB should be the hardest worker and most film-obsessed of any player on the team. Again if this is true that actually explains a lot about why the team is so terrible.

Agree on Martinez .. If that is true and combine that with our horrible O-Line play it explains a lot of our offensive woes.

Agreed here. While Frost has been shit, he’d actually have a winning record with a competent QB over the past 4 years. And that’s on him for not bringing one in.

Honestly 6-6 won’t help recruiting but I can see why they would keep him then. Atleast you could brag to Husker nation Scotty made a bowl in year 4.

Makes sense with Martinez, he misses so many easy reads in this offense. You would think a 4th year QB, even not a very good one, could make easy quick throws in this system. He holds the ball way too long, and just relies on his feet too much.
