He’s a walkon right? Why would you cut him especially before spring ball? After spring ball he will figure out where he stands. If they do cut him hopefully he goes to UNK.

I doubt they "cut" him. Probably just leveled with him and let him know he wasn't going to get a 'ship anytime soon (if ever) and he'd be better off looking for pt elsewhere.

Like our other Walk On kicker who left to one of the Dakota schools and became an All American, meanwhile back in Lincoln we couldn't make an Extra Point

If it’s not Nebraska I think the kid will do fine somewhere. He is the type of kid we use to turn into a good kicker, but for some reason we can’t now.

You usually do that after spring ball is the point. I get cutting a guy like cerni because you know you have his replacement, and he was worthless taking up a scholarship, but this kid is a walkon. I don’t get the timing is my main point.

meyer kicked a 57 yard fg in high school & always put it through the endzone, i just dont believe they cut him
