A couple of special teams notes

Nothing earth shattering here, but thought I'd pass them along......

My nephew is a specialist on the team so I get tidbits every now and then from my sister. She said Cernie was put on medical leave so he is officially done. Will P was cut (I just saw he entered the transfer portal). Kelen Meyer was also cut. They still don't know anything about the coaching situation. They assume it will be Busch, but there has been almost no communication about it so they are very frustrated with that.

Again, nothing that's totally unexpected, but thought I'd share.

Totally agree. I was hoping to at least hear them tell him that "we know what direction we are going, but we just haven't announced it yet" type of deal, but nothing. I know he's hoping it is Busch, he really likes him. Plus he coached his dad at UNL too so that's kind of cool.

If I recall, Busch gets paid by LSU until February. I think they’re holding off as long as the can until that contract is up.

He also kicked a line drive XP about six or seven feet off of the ground that may have lost the OU game for us.

He’s a walkon right? Why would you cut him especially before spring ball? After spring ball he will figure out where he stands. If they do cut him hopefully he goes to UNK.
