Edit: getting whooped, as a matter of fact. Well, it is past 1 a.m. in Miami now and this game (at Cal) is just in the third quarter.

Saw on Twitter that teams that had to travel 2+ time zones are 0-6. Could be a benefit for Nebraska to be in the middle of the country in this era of coast-to coast conferences.

The one thing that gives me hope is Indianus hasn't played a defense like ours yet. I do think we get to their QB. I hope we can rattle him.

How Indianus got the schedule they did is astounding. Maryland has been their toughest opponent so far this season and they are ass.

Everyone in the Big10 and SEC have a recruiting pitch for transfers, NIL fuck you money, giant recruiting budgets, good facilities, highly paid coaches. This isn’t the old Big8 where you outclass and out-invest all but 2-3 teams on your schedule.

Conference wins are hard, doesn’t matter how they look.

I always read the “What the B1G is saying” threads and everyone always says we’re living in the 90s, etc. Typically, I don’t really see it because we’ve been really bad and I’m not seeing many posts from people thinking we’re going to be contending for national championships anytime soon.

However, after reading some of the reactions from yesterday’s game, I do think we might have some truly delusional motherfucks on this board.

Since 2016, here are the P4/P5 teams with worse records than us:
-Arkansas
-Arizona
-Illinois
-Buttgers
-Vanderbilt
-Kansas

Since 2016, we’re 1-25 against ranked opponents. Only Buttgers has a worse record among P4/5 teams.

In summary, we have not only sucked, but sucked very hard for a long time. Be happy that we beat a solid opponent.
