49ers

Ok no trolling. 49ers fans are so touchy.

I never said he was bad. All along I said he's good for this team. Can save a bunch of money with him as QB. Even beyond rookie contract. If you get control of the game early he does a good job of getting the ball out of his hands and into people that can make plays. Runs the offense efficiently.

I just don't think he's a top 10 qb. Put him on the Bears and Bears are still 3-9. Maybe 4-8. Put him on the Chiefs and they're probably a .500 team.

I'm my mind he's around 10. Somewhere between 9-13. In the "you can absolutely win with him with a decent surrounding cast" tier. He's incredibly accurate, makes great/quick decisions, is a very adequate runner...

And it's not like he's peaked.

I mean you won't pay Patty money but you'll pay Kirk money.

He is a much better QB than Justin Fields, GTFO with that (to be fair the Bears use him poorly but still). I don't know about the Chiefs, that's an interesting thought exercise. It seems like this year especially they don't have much outside of Patrick. But at the same time this year's team has a much better defense than in years past.

2 games against the paper tiger Seahawks. They've got a win over the Browns without Watson. Most of their wins are over shit teams. They've lost to pretty much anyone with a pulse.

He's better than Fields. I don't like Fields much at all. That doesn't mean they'd win more games. Fields makes plays with his feet that Purdy couldn't. Thats pretty much the only threat the Bears offense has.

The Bears oline is one of the worst in the league. Receivers bottom 1/4. I don't see Purdy making a difference. Swap QB's and Fields stats are better than Purdy's. Not better than Purdy's with San Fran.

Interesting, not what I would have thought:

"Purdy has been the most accurate and effective deep passer in the NFL this season, according to PFF.

He has completed 22 of 33 (66.7 percent) attempts 20 or more yards down the field for 684 yards with seven touchdowns and no interceptions.

Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen and Justin Herbert generally are regarded as being among those with the strongest arms in the NFL. However, each is completing deep passes at less than 40 percent.

Combined, Mahomes, Allen and Herbert have thrown nine touchdowns and 13 interceptions on pass attempts of 20-plus yards down the field."

To be fair to Jim he texted me during the game and retracted that, but did add that Purdy is probably a notch or two below Fields

He needs serious psychiatric help
Let's hope Brock does some off season coaching with his little brother. Would it not be amazing to see Chubba developed into a QB close to Brock?

Super Bowl XLVII/Christmas Day rematch is already inevitable. Big Cock Brock won’t throw 4 picks this time. Niners win.
