Haha probably so because that was complete bullshit.wonder, if he had to do it all over again, if Rhule wouldn’t make the comments about all of the money we had to compete.
All the guys already on the rosterwonder, if he had to do it all over again, if Rhule wouldn’t make the comments about all of the money we had to compete.
Priced out again ☹️
But but but I thought he wasn’t even going to make it to campus
But I thought he couldn't qualify academically? We're a fucking joke. But but but I thought he wasn’t even going to make it to campus
So were they actually nervous about him to not being able to qualify or was that just BS cause they didn’t want to pay his price? Seems like no other schools are worried about him to being able to get in.

I'd say maybe more that he wouldn't have tried to do this NFL style position cap.wonder, if he had to do it all over again, if Rhule wouldn’t make the comments about all of the money we had to compete.

It's not that they couldn't match the $$, moreso they didn't feel it was worth the risk of upping the $$ for a guy who was A) not certain to qualify and B) similar in size to their 2 portal DTs.But I thought he couldn't qualify academically? We're a fucking joke.
He'd break out the preacher voice and tell us that "what I possibly should have said was that..." and here comes the double talkin' side show bob havin' devil talk about using the resources we do have properly and not throwing money around like we're a university that just spends to spend, let's be good stewards of what the Lord has provided and actually get a ROI on the players we DO have.wonder, if he had to do it all over again, if Rhule wouldn’t make the comments about all of the money we had to compete.

Sounds like they decided that rather than getting into a bidding war with a flakey JUCO (committed to 4 schools and still possibly visiting Penn St) with eligibility uncertainty, they're better off using that $$ for Berymon and/or a possible portal DT.
You are one of like 8 posters on here who understands what risk-reward is.It's not that they couldn't match the $$, moreso they didn't feel it was worth the risk of upping the $$ for a guy who was A) not certain to qualify and B) similar in size to their 2 portal DTs.

There is no NIL commitment until he graduates and qualifies which would be summer. Not sure how they wouldn’t work that into the deal. You’re not getting paid until you qualify. Maybe someone would top that and say we will pay you now and doesn’t matter if you qualify or not. It’s always a little hard to tell as we don’t have all the info. It's not that they couldn't match the $$, moreso they didn't feel it was worth the risk of upping the $$ for a guy who was A) not certain to qualify and B) similar in size to their 2 portal DTs.

He did have grade issues, but we apparently knew this before we offered and had him visitDean was the source on the grades correct?

I don't think this is true. It isn't uncommon to pay NIL before a HS player is enrolled in college, for example. There is no NIL commitment until he graduates and qualifies which would be summer.
