I have actually been pretty positive about Rhule and was part of the crew who was going to be upset if he went to Penn State but his not so strong run to end the season and the bowl game, topped off by not hiring a DL coach until well too late the second offseason in a row I’ve changed my tune. I understand being a Lions fan failure and underwhelming teams is just a part of your identity but I’d prefer Nebraska field a successful team in my lifetime.

I think the biggest concern with Nelson, besides his excessive fumbling in practice, is that he has gotten into a bit of trouble off the field with the coaches. Remember he was suspended for a while. Coaches were concerned. May have been for little or big things but either way he has been a bit of a problem child at times when not on the field.

I hadn’t heard any of that. I don’t get home town news and likely don’t spend enough time on here to keep all that current in my head.

There is a lot of potential there but I think going into year four needing some wins it would be a good idea to bring in a guy with some production.

I don’t want to piss on anyones corn flakes here, but the way we’re handling this portal season makes me think the staff has only a marginal concern for their 2026 employment.
