PSU 247 reporting some steam with Matt Campbell

Yeah now it's a game of how can they get out of it with a coach who isn't complete garbage
If I were kraft he would have been my third call after DeBoer and Drinkwitz. Good coach, has demonstrated he can reach maximum capacity at his current job (and maintain it for ten years) and is local. Scheme fit for the conference

If anything im pissed he won't be available when we cut bait with rhule

It’s similar to the position Pederson put himself in. The difference, though, is that there seemed to be a large pool of guys who would potentially be an improvement over Solich. PSU fired someone where they couldn’t possibly think that was true.

Campbell is an absolute homerun. He's a guy who would work in that place. Sitake would have failed, I don't think DeBoer would have done all that well there either.

If they pull him, they will have pulled a rabbit out of a hat and saved the entire program from a 5-year downslide.

Rhule is by far better than Campbell in my opinion. Campbell hasn’t done shit at cockey state and he’s been there how long?
Brother, ISU has no resources and has doshit history and is a second class citizen in their own shitty recruiting states. He is easily the best coach in program history and it's not even particularly close. Hes built them into a really solid program.

It's always a gamble though to take a guy who has overachieved at a crap place and assume if you just resource him better he will be great.

I like Campbell he would have been my choice had Rhule bolted for PSU, but old man Riley was once upon a time an overachiever in the dumpster
