That's saying something where Campbell is allowed to bring his prior DC of the past 11 seasons with him, but won't let Heacock be his DC going forward. IMO, this feels like Campbell's hand is being forced. I get Cockeye State to Penn State is a big jump, but this sounds like Campbell skinning himself of a share of his identity and selling out to demands being made in order to secure a job at a program that was desperate for a head coach.

Then again, Heakcock is 65 and maybe he wanted in on that AHC / defensive assistant action Phil Snow got in on.
