Count me in on the “surprised” list for Jackson leaving. I was never impressed by what he did on the field but he got 2nd team reps as a rFr. He also seemed to be into the culture of the program. I assumed the coaches were playing him to show the other players how buying in could benefit them.

Jeudy, RVP, Cam, and Jimari was going to be our starting DL next year regardless. Hopefully we can hold onto Cam.
Cam needs to take a big step, he was mostly anonymous this year

He had 266 snaps as a true freshman and only 189 as a sophomore. We cut our rotations down a bunch (on first glance but I want to look more into this) this year. Hard to get better when you aren’t on the field as much. Williams took a lot of his snaps, as did the fact Ty didn’t come off the field as much.

Also I thought Cam got injured early on in the season as well. So he could've been dealing with something.

Only thing of substance I can remember on Thompson was a costly personal foul penalty in one of our games.

I think if they start or play consistently for you, they're a hit. I think it's ok if they clear that lowish bar to feel let down if they're not good
Yeah, you can't count on every guy to be a super star but if you can keep getting guys like MJ Sherman, Jeudy, Dowdell etc.. it's worth it.

Unfortunately we had a lot of misses too, but it's a necessary evil.

It would be interesting to see what the overall success rate is and where we sit on it.
