So apparently NU is using Matt Vrzal to help sift through offensive linemen in the portal. (He doesn’t specifically say he’s doing it at their request, but he strongly hints at it. I don’t know why he’d put that kind of time and effort into it just for fun.)
He talks about what he’s looking for and names some specific schools of lineman he would like I see at NU. Interesting insight into the process, IMO.

What is our running total so far of the sunken cost from recruiting Bellevue West players?
The only one remotely worth the effort in recent history has been DK because he peer recruited like a demon after he committed.
Hall and Betts were time and resource consuming efforts that were also drama filled recruitments. Their spots could have gone to someone worth it. (*cough* Bradley too)
What are the odds that McMorris breaks the trend? I have my doubts.

My big question is when is our mass exodus coming? We know it has to come, for better or worse. But so far it's really just been a miniscule number of guys.
Do we just see a number of guys simply disappear off the roster at semester with little to know discussion? I spose that's the case for most low end walk ons.
Do we see a bunch after spring ball? That would be the smart move to me for most to best ensure their spot on a roster.
Do we see a few more with some FOMO that go in this week trying to beat the clock on locking in a roster spot elsewhere?
