Think about the sunken cost from guys like Doss and Malachi Coleman. All those snaps last year got us absolutely nothing this year. And it hurts more when you think that WR had been a clusterfuck all year and was just ripe for a young guy to step up.

I'd add Ives to the list. If a RB can't get on the field in 2 years they don't have it. It's not like that room is stacked with talent

I think Ives goes when/if Barthel goes, which is probably better than a 50% chance at this point.The only reason he is at Nebraska is because Barthel was recruiting him to Uconn. (If I remember correctly)

Might be the same with true freshman RB Nelson.

I bet if Dana takes the OC job officially for next year, (And because of recruiting we would want that to be official sooner rather than later) my guess is that Dana won't want Doogie Howser coaching WRs or Barthel coaching RBs. (based on his willingness to bash the WRs and and RBs in his press conference). No doubt Satt is gone. So basically Dana will be able to reshape the offensive staff and will obviously only keep Uncle OL. QB coach Thomas probably gets bounced too.

So new people for QB, WR (could be Dana himself) TE and RB.

Correct re-Ives, he was being recruited to UConn and brought him with to Nebraska. Which is hilarious because UConn has multiple RBs on the roster that he coached who would be better here than Ives. Shame how that worked out.
