2023 Off Season Thread

Did we think Les Miles was a Hall of Fame coach? Do we think any coach who wins one natty is a HOFer?
No way. Not any coach with one NC is a hall of fame coach. After the NCAA vacated 37 wins, Miles is a .597 coach and is ineligible to be a HOF coach.

Can you tell the story of college football from 2005-2020 without talking about Les Miles?

Maybe, he was pretty quirky, was a consistent winner at LSU and Oklahoma St.

I think he goes in the HOF if he had the .600 Winning %.
Other coaches w/ 1 national championship that I would put in:
  • Spurrier
  • Brown
  • Holtz
  • Stoops
  • Tressel
  • Fulmer
  • Edwards
  • Neyland
  • McCartney
Guys like Coker, Chizik, Orgeron who had zero sustained success I wouldn't put in there.

Miles' national championship honestly doesn't carry as much weight as pretty much anyone else's since 2007 LSU had 2 losses and backed their way in
