2021 Husker Baseball Thread (Big 10 Champions)

The score is now 11-6 after we gave up a 2-run home run.

12-6 Skers after another Husker home run.

13-6 Huskers heading into the bottom of the 7th.

Huskers give up a three run home run in the 8th.

13-9 Huskers.

According to this we are now third in the Big 10 in RPI: Link

We are behind Indiana and Michigan which is where we should be at this point in time. Indiana and Michigan both have better programs at the moment. That will change next season.

I'm not sure we lose a conference game again after this season

Screenshot_20210323-105938_Instagram.jpgDont be surprised if he goes in the top 3 rounds. Currently not listed on any of the Top 100 prospects on MLB but won't be surprised if his name starts shooting up draft boards. IMO he would grade similarly to Jake Cronenworth without the contact/average. The things that organizations will have to decide is his future on the mound (that's my projection) or do they see him as a INF? Some teams may look INF first and then go pitching route.

3 Big 10 teams. Michigan, Indiana, and Nebraska.

Interesting when you look at the first four out, included are San Diego and USC. Included in the last four in is Nebraska. Like I've stated earlier, the west coast has strong teams this year. If Nebraska finishes 3rd in the BIG it'll be interesting to see what the selection committee does if things pan out like they are.

Our schedule sets up pretty nice to make a move in the standings, but not the RPI.

Staying at the top may help some with optics since everyone basically plays each other.
